What is Scrapbooking?

Scrapbooking - All you need to know!

New to scrapbooking and not sure where to start? A good place to start is to start small, of course.

What you will need:
  • Photos
  • Scrapbook album
  • Cardstock
  • Pattern paper
  • Alphabet letterings
  • Stickers
  • Cutter and board
  • Tape glue
  1. Plan the layout of each scrapbook page – this is important before you glue things down
  2. Select your papers – first pick out a cardstock and then pattern paper(s) to match. Decide how you want to use the pattern paper(s) – Get creative! Use the full piece or a part of it. Overlap your cardstock or border your photos etc.
  3. Position your photos – move your photos around the page to see how they all position up together. Have your photos in different sizes, it helps make each page look fresh and different.
  4. Leave space for letterings
  5. Glue things down – start by gluing down your patterned paper(s), then your photos
  6. Plan your finish – position your letterings and stick them down. Then finish with stickers to pull the whole look together.

Voila, you’re done! All you need to do now is slot your scrapbook page into your album.

As you get more confident, be bold and get ready to spice up your scrapbook album even more with different embellishments and effects. Add pizzazz to your scrapbook pages with:

  • Brads and snaps
  • Eyelets
  • Ribbons
  • Tags and tabs
  • Metal accents
  • Die-cuts
  • Rub-ons

And more!

Visit my gallery to get more ideas. The possibilities are endless!

Happy scrapping!
